Simon delivers a wide variety of workshops in schools (and online).

His mission? To inspire and ignite.

Simon Lamb's workshops are guaranteed to unleash the Poet in every child and teacher. His approach is both professional and inspirational. Simon has a natural ability to engage and bring out the very best in participants. Pupils and staff begin to see poems as 'time-machines, world-catchers and life-shifters’!

Angela Noble, Literacy & English Coordinator, North Ayrshire

Absolutely luminous! The children hung on to Simon’s every. last. word.

St Monica’s Primary School, North Lanarkshire

Having the opportunity to attend a Poetry Workshop run by Simon, it was very clear that he has a gift, which allows children and adults alike to realise their true potential in creating some beautiful poetry.  His childlike approach and natural charm draw you in and he makes you find beautiful words in your head to express your experiences and thoughts, which come straight from the heart. An absolute pleasure to work with.

Joanne Johnstone, Countryside Ranger, North Ayrshire Council Ranger Service

Our children were captivated by Simon’s vivid, engaging and entertaining recitation of Tam o’ Shanter: there were a multitude of cries, squeals and giggles from the boys and girls of all ages! He explained his journey from loathing to loving the poetry of Robert Burns, unpacked the difficult language and encouraged our students to read Burns' poems aloud. Thank you so much, Mr Lamb. The children all had a fantastic time!

St Leonards Junior School, Fife

Simon led four brilliant poetry sessions - on Zoom - for our Cub Packs. It was magical to see how they responded to him, and their delight with their own work. Simon incorporated the Cubs’ ideas into a poem and recorded it. I wish I could have recorded their faces and evident pride when they heard the poem for the first time and recognised their contributions. Definitely one of our best Zoom sessions and something that will stay with the Cubs for a long time. Thanks Simon.
